Martha Birde married Phillip Smith on 26 Jan 1567/1568 at All Hallows, Lombard Street, City of London.[1]
On 12 Feb 1571 [presumed to be 1571/1572] Martha Byrd was recorded in the Visitation of London[2][3] as the daughter of Thomas Byrd and the wife of Phillip Smyth of London, gentleman. Two children were also recorded: Thomas 1 year and 6 months old and Elizabeth age 2 years and 6 months.
