1728-1733 Essex County Virginia Deed Book 19; {Antient Press}: Page 322-329 THIS INDENTURE made the Seventh and Eighteenth day of July in the Sixth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord GEORGE the Second and in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and thirty two Between ELIAS DEJARNAT of the Pish of St. John in the County of KING WILLIAM Planter and ELIZABETH his Wife of one part and the honourable JOHN ROBINSON of the Parish of Southfarnham in the County of Essex Esqr. of the other part Witnesseth that the sd ELIAS DEJARNAT and ELIZABETH his Wife for the sum of Forty pounds Sterling doth sell unto the said JOHN ROBINSON (in his actual possession by virtue of a bargain and sale for one year and by the Statute for transferring uses into possession) and to his heirs & assigns, all those two severall peices or parcells of land adjoyning and Contiguous to each other containing one hundred and fifty acres being in the aforesd Parish of South Farnham in the sd County of Essex where THOMAS HINDS late of the sd County deced dwelt and now in the tenure or occupation of one WALTER LEONARD, one hundred acres part thereof being bounded beginning at a marked white oak Corner tree to the land of one JOHN MITCHELL and runing thence by MITCHELLs land South East to a marked white Oak standing by a Branch called the GREEN SWAMP thence West South West to a marked white Oak thence North West down a Swamp called BEAVERDAM SWAMP to a marked white Oak, thence East North East to the beginning, and fifty one acres of land the residue thereof beginning at a marked Dogwood a Corner tree of one THOMAS GREEN deced and tuning thence North East to a Sasafrass and Hickory standing in a valley in the line of Capt. ANTHONY SMITH deced and on the East side of the MAIN ROAD that leads to PISCATAWAY FERRY and tuning thence along the sd SMITHs line South East to a scrubby Hicory Corner tree of the sd SMITHs and one JOHN MITCHELL and thence along the sd MITCHELLs line North to a red Oak on a level and thence North East to the beginning And all houses, Outhouses, Woods and appurtenances whatsoever belonging To Have and To Hold the sd several! parcells of land unto the sd JOHN ROBINSON his heirs and assigns forever, In Witness whereof the partys have set their hands and Seals in presence of MARK WEEKES.
