Ethel is shown at age 2 living with her parents and siblings on the 1880 Branchville, South Carolina Census. Since fire destroyed the 1890 census, she is next shown at age 22, married to Andrew David Frederick about 1898 in South Carolina and the mother of an infant daughter. The young family of three are living with her widowed mother, as are her sister, Minnie, and Minnie's new husband Joseph A. Watson. Her mother's obituary states that she is living in Georgia in August of 1910.[3][4][5][6]
Nettie passed away in 1939 in Vidalia, Georgia.[7][8]
