From the Southern Christian Advocate, September 26, 1861: "MARRIED, on the 17th inst, by Rev. William Hutto, Mr David Bull to Miss Elizabeth Maria Byrd, all of Orangeburg, South Carolina." [meaning Orangeburg District, South Carolina]
