On October 3, 1771 he married Mary Ricords in Wicomico Hundred, Somerset, Maryland. [1]
Research Notes
In 1772, the year after the death of Thomas Humphreys, Sr., we find that the settlement of the estate of William Byrd, deceased, was completed, for in Liber E B, No. 11, folio 13, that the money due to Phyllis Byrd, daughter of William Byrd, was paid to Phyllis Humphreys, guardian. At the same time money due to Bayly Byrd was paid to Jesse Byrd.
