Birth and Parents: Emmett Edward Byrd was born on 05 May 1928 in Ozark, Dale County, Alabama, United States.^[1] He was the son of Edward Revesta Byrd and Erie Mae Hildreth.^[2] He was enumerated in the household of his parents on the 1930 and 1940 United States Censuses.^[3][4]

Death and Burial: Emmett Edward Byrd passed away on 24 July 2008 in Dothan, Houston County, Alabama.^[5] He was buried in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Ozark, Dale County, Alabama. According to his grave marker he was a veteran of the Korean conflict.^[6]
