Biography

Edward Silvester Byrne estimate year of birth about 1748. Silvester Byrne, the father of Hugh Vesty Byrne. ^[1]

Michael Dwyers mother was the second daughter of Charles Byrne of Cullentra, the first daughter having married Hugh Vesty Byrne's father and the third, Winifred, married Arthur Devlin's uncle, Bryan Devlin. Thus Michael Dwyers, Hugh Vesty and Arthur Devlin were first cousins of Bryan Devlin's children, Michael and Hugh Vesty were first cousins but Big Arthur Devlin relationship to these two was that of a first cousin's first cousin.^[2]

The Big Green Book vol. 2 is not always correct as in this case regarding page 58, and Michael Dwyer's mother's name was Mary, also Ann Devlin's mother was Winifred and Hugh v Byrne mother was Rosanna they were three sisters Arthur Devlin was Ann Devlin's cousin Her father and Arthur's father were brothers and that is Arthur Devlin who married Priscilla Squire here in Australia, I must say that Ann Devlin did have a younger brother named Arthur better known as Art or little Arthur. Just because it is written in a book does not make it correct always check and then check again, I hope this helps
