Biography

Early Life

Charles Byrne was born in Shankill, County Dublin, Ireland in 1796. [1] His Roman Catholic baptism appears on 21st April 1796, in Kingstown parish, County Dublin. [2] Catholic baptisms in Ireland were rarely more than two or three days after birth, giving a likely birth date of April 1796.

His parents Charles Byrne and Rose (Prendergast) Byrne were married in Kingstown parish, County Dublin, Ireland on 15th April 1781. [3] They had ten children together.
