Biography

Jean-Charles was born in 1945. He was the son of Roland Bélanger and Yvonne Trudell. He passed away in 2016.

OBITUARY

BELANGER, Jean - Charles 'Chuck' Louis - A resident of Chatham, and formerly of Pain Court, Chuck Belanger passed away at the Chatham-Kent Hospice with his family at his side on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at the age of 71.

Born and raised in Pain Court, Chuck was the son of the late Roland and Yvonne (Trudell) Belanger. Beloved husband of 53 years to Elaine (nee Tremblay). Cherished and loving father of Chuck Belanger, Jr. (Kathy) of Pain Court and Greg Belanger (Kim) of St. Thomas. Proud grandfather to Jennifer, Ryan, Alicia (Ryan), Randy (Michelle), Jillian, Nicholas (Mackenzie) and Jacklyn. Adoring Gramps to Coltan and Nathan Boulley and Hadley Jubenville. Dear brother of Claire (Dan) Vickery of Dorchester, Denise (Denis) Desrochers of Mississauga, Louise (Dan) Aitken of Pain Court, Marie Cadotte of Chatham, Jackie (Brian) Crow of Pain Court. Brother in law to Jim Brintnell of London.

Predeceased by his sister Diane Belanger. Also missed by many nieces, nephews, in-laws, friends and extended family.

Chuck was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, Council #9693 Pain Court and a founding member of the Kinsmen Club of Dover. He enjoyed working at Peterbilt in London from 1988 - 2011 where he loved selling trucks. Prior to that, he worked at King Grain in Pain Court for 20 years in sales and management. Chuck was a racing enthusiast, and enjoyed going to NASCAR races with his lifelong partner, Elaine. They enjoyed travelling to Florida, Hawaii, Cancun and the Carribean.

The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to Diane Daniel for all of her love and support over the past couple months. Special thanks to Dr. Wasserman, Dr. Elashaal and the nursing staff from 8th floor neurosurgery at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital, Windsor and Dr. Bob Mayo and the wonderful staff at the Chatham-Kent Hospice for their care and compassion.

Family will receive friends at the MCKINLAY FUNERAL HOME, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Friday, November 25, 2016 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Vigil Prayers will be held Friday at 3:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Immaculée Conception Church, 24156 Winter Line Rd, Pain Court at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2016 with Fr. Michel Michon celebrant. Cremation to follow with a private family interment to be held at Immaculée Conception Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Chuck to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation or Immaculée Conception (Project Our Church) and would be greatly appreciated.
