Hi Richard, me again,

Now that you have had a little time to try WikiTree, here are a few more features you may find useful:

  • Sometimes you'll run into unresponsive profile managers. See our process for resolving these situations.

If you have questions or problems with WikiTree (including your GEDCOM), feel free to post a comment on my profile page or send me a private message.

Hi again, Richard,

Thanks for joining WikiTree! As a mentor I'm here to help. If you have questions or problems with WikiTree, post a comment on my profile page or send a private message.

Our vision is to build a collaborative tree with just one profile per person, so look for duplicates before adding new profiles. Remember to add dates and locations. And if you have royal ancestors, contact the EuroAristo Project to see about connecting to pre-existing royal lines.

If you feel lost, start with How To Use WikiTree, and check out the Help Index.

I have been researching my family's migration to Australia (mostly South Australia) between 1830 and 1880. I have un-earthed, and hopefully resolved much conflicting information.

Richard, I noticed you uploaded a GEDCOM. Here's a link to a great step-by-step of the process including screenshots that you might find helpful.

The help pages give lots of information about the process, best to start with 'Before you import a GEDCOM'.
