Sally 'Sarle' (Cabbage ?) was born about 1795 in Cherokee Nation East, the area that is now the state of Georgia, USA. She was the wife of William Proctor, also Cherokee. The family appears on the 1835 Cherokee census living near the Etowah River in what is now Forsyth County, Georgia. [1] According to granddaughter Lizzie Teehee they were the parents of Margaret, Cho-wa-yu-ka, Jennie, Oo-da-yee, and Taw-la-du. [2] Sally may be the woman listed on the 1851 Drennan Roll living in Flint District. [3]
