He was a carpenter when he and Melissa appeared on the census of 31 Aug. 1860 at Bedford County, Virginia.[2] He was a farmer when he and Melissa appeared on the census of 25 Aug. 1870 at Chamblissburg Township, Bedford County, Virginia.[3]
Daniel died on 16 Nov. 1904 probably in Phelps County, Missouri and was buried at Old Dean Cemetery, Phelps County, Missouri. His memorial has links to those of family members. [1]
