Corporal Stoddard Cady served with 8th Massachusetts Bay Provincial Regiment (1775), Continental Army during the American Revolution.

Stoddard was a Private and Corporal in the Revolutionary War. He enlisted on 29 April 1775 and served in several regiments, two of which:

• 8th Massachusetts Bay Provincial Regiment under Colonel Timothy Danielson of Brimfield.
• 22nd Massachusetts Regiment under Colonel Benjamin Ruggless Woodbridge of South Hadley.

He was discharged on 29 November 1777. ^{[1] [2]}

Stoddard Cady was born on July 28, 1752 in Pomfret, Windham County, Connecticut Colony. His parents were Ezekiel Cady and Abigail Stoddard. ^{[citation needed]}
