Harold W. Caffey:

Harold W. Caffey, 85, of Route 2 Conway, died August 7, 1990 in Dade County Memorial Hospital in Lockwood, Missouri.

Surviving are his wife, Mattie M. Caffey; a son, Billy Joe Caffey and his wife, Letha, Conway; a daughter, Bonnie L. Peters and her husband, Howard, Springfield; a brother, Lawrence Caffey, of Conway; a sister, Myrtle Howerton, of Conway; two grandsons and their wives; two granddaughters and their husbands and five great-granddaughters.

Funeral services were held Thursday, August 9, at Conway United Methodist Church, Conway, with the Rev. Howard Cowen officiating. Burial was in the Conway Cemetery under direction of Colonial Chapel, Lebanon, Missouri.

Harold William Caffey was born January 18, 195 and died August 7, 1990. Services for Harold Caffey were held August 9, 1990 in Conway, United Methodist church where he was a member, with Rev. Howard Cowen officiating. Rusty Shadel sang two selections, "Some Golden Day" and "When the Roll is Called Up Yonder." The congregation sang "Amazing Grace." DeLores Shadel was the organist and escorts were Kenneth Peters, Joel Caffey, Travis Baker, Jeff Ruble, Raymond Day and Bill Luallin. Honorary escorts were Fred Long, Virgil Vernon, Jim Tillman, Earl Beal, Richard Wissbaum, Phil Hyde, Walter Davis and Dave McShane.

Burial was in the Conway Cemetery under the direction of Colonial Funeral Chapel.

Harold William Caffey, son of Joe Caffey and Alpha Letterman Caffey was born January 18, 1905 in Conway, Missouri and died August 7, 1990 in Dade County Memorial Hospital in Lockwood, Missouri.

Harold William Caffey married Mattie Mae Johnson on October 3, 1925. For 38 years Harold owned and operated Caffey's Store near Conway, Missouri where he made many friends. He had spent his lifetime in the Conway area until he was taken to the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Lockwood, with his wife, Mattie.

Harold William Caffey was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Hershel. Survivors include his wife, Mattie; a son, Billy Joe Caffey and his wife, Letha, of Conway, Missouri; a daughter, Bonnie L. Peters and husband, Howard, of Springfield, Missouri; a brother, Lawrence and a sister, Myrtle Howerton, both of Conway, Missouri; two grandsons, two granddaughters and five great granddaughters.
