William James was the son of John Cahoon of Ballybriest.
He attended the funeral of his brother Andrew Cahoon (abt.1840-1912).

- 1859 marriage to Eliza Nelson, witnesses John Moran and Patrick Deane, resident of Tullybrick; wife from Mormeal, Tobermore.
- Birth of son Samuel 1874.
- 1901 census - with second wife Jane Taylor
- 1884 death of wife Eliza age 44. Also there is 1886 death of a daughter Eliza Jane age 17.
Since the place differs I'd like to see something more to connect these records to this same William James though.
