In the 1850 census Joseph (age 80) lived with his wife Henriette (age 71), their son Vilmont (age 30), in Napoleonville, Assumption, Louisiana, United States.[10]
Joseph died on 30 Mar 1860 at Assumption Parish, Louisiana, USA.[11]
