Samuel Cain, son of Samuel and Lucy (Richmond) Cain, was born on 1 Jan. 1801[1][2]
He married Serena Staples[1][2] on 5 Sep. 1824 at Middleborough, Massachusetts.[3]
He was a farmer when he and Serena appeared on the census of 7 Oct. 1850, in the home of his parents at Taunton, Bristol, Massachusetts.[4] He was a farm laborer when he appeared on the census of 6 Aug. 1870 in the home of his son at Bristol, Addison County, Vermont.[5]
Samuel died on 6 Sep. 1876 and was buried at Thompson Hill Cemetery, Lakeville, Plymouth County, Massachusetts. His memorial has a photo of his headstone and links to those of family members.[1]
