Biography
Bolin Cain [1] [2] [3] [4] was born about 1807 in Illinois Territory [4]. He died at an unknown age.
Bolin married Harriet Bridger on March 16, 1829 in Madison County, Illinois. [1]
They had two known children William and Rachel, [4]
NOTE: William and Rachel are listed as Harriet's children because they were born before Bolin married Abigail. Plus Abigail is 28 on the 1850 census, so she would have been 12 and 15, respectively, when they were born.
Bolin married Abigail Salmons on February 1, 1842 in Jerseyville, Jersey County, Illinois. [2][3]
Their children are John [4] , Levina [4] , Prudence [4] and Sarah, [4]
Bolin and his family moved to the Republic of Texas between 1842 (when John was born) and 1845 (when Levina was born), [4]

I just completed transcribing the 1850 U. S. Census for Hunt County, Texas (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:1850_United_States_Federal_Census%2C_Hunt_County%2C_Texas%2C_Sheet_395). The first family listed is Bolin and Abegail Cain. I think this may be your Bolin and Abegail. They have six minors living with them, William (16), Rachel (13), John (8), Levina (5), Prudence (2), and Sarah (6/12). If these are Bolin's children, the first 2 or 3 would belong to another mother.
