Biography

Mary was born after 1843. She is the daughter of Tice Cain and Betsey Ivie. Mary was aged 4 in 1860 and living in the household of her parents in Rock Creek Township, Jefferson, Kansas Territory.[1]

Her father disappeared following the battle of Kirksville in Adair County, Missouri, 6 Aug 1862. Her mother subsequently moved to Oregon along with some of the younger children. She died in Oregon ca 1865.

Mary married Austin A. Brisbine 2 Jan 1877 in Yamhill County, Oregon.[2]Austin was a butcher.

In 1880 Mary and Austin were living in Sheridan, Yamhill, Oregon. They had an infant daughter Meriel Maud Brisbine.[3]

They had 3 children in 1900.[4]

By 1920 they were living in King County, Washington.[5]

She was a widow in 1930, living in the household of her daughter Maud Frazier in Seattle.[6]

She died in Seattle in 1931.[7]
