Biography

Martin Wallace Cain was born on 26 Nov 1852 in Albert, New Brunswick, Canada, son of George Cain (1808 - 1886) and Eliza (Geldart) Cain (1817 - 1900).

His sister was Eleanor Jane (Cain) Colpitts (1847 - 1903).

Martin (25) married Saphronia Amelia Mitton (18) (born in Little River, Elgin, Albert on 20 Feb 1860; died in Moncton, Westmorland, New Brunswick in 1967) on 6 Oct 1878 in Elgin. Their children were:

  1. William Odburn Cain (1879 - 1970)
  2. Nettie Alberta (Cain) Bishop (1882 - 1987)
  3. Alexander Wallace Cain (1886 - )
  4. Everett Horace Cain (1898 - ).

Martin died on 2 Dec 1949 in Salisbury, Westmorland, New Brunswick aged 97. He is buried in Hillgrove Baptist Cemetery, Hillgrove, New Brunswick.[1]

Martin was born in 1852. According to his death record, his father was George Cain. Martin passed away in 1949.[2] He is buried at Hillgrove Baptist Cemetery in Hillgrove, New Brunswick.[3]
