Biography
Mary Eva Caine was born on July 14, 1768, in Ireland, her father, William, was 15, and her mother, Nellie, was 13. She married John E. Pond in 1787 in New Brunswick, Canada. They had 12 children in 27 years. She died on August 27, 1853, in York, New Brunswick, Canada, having lived a long life of 85 years. [1] [2]
Obituary The obituary for Mary Eva ( Cain) Pond in the New Brunswick Courier August 27, 1853 stated that Mrs.Eve Pond, age 85 died in St. Mary's recently, Left 12 children, 81 grandchildren, and 105 great-grandchildren.
