Biography
John was born about 1874. He was the son of David Caird and Jane Abercrombie. His parents emigrated to New Zealand aboard the vessel "Victory". The "Victory" departed London on 16 December 1865 and arrived into Lyttelton on 24 March 1866. John was born after his parents arrival in New Zealand.
He passed away about 1965, aged 90 and is buried at the Timaru Cemetery, South Canterbury, New Zealand.
