Biography

Anne Marie was born after 1706 (her parents Michel Caissie dit Roger and Madeleine Gaudet were married around 1706). Around 1732 she married Charles Brun, son of Abraham Brun and Anne Pellerin.

In 1752 Charles and Anne-Marie were recorded on a census in Pointe-à-Beauséjour with 4 boys and 3 girls. [1] In 1755 they were residing at Aulac with the same number of children. [2][3] In 1755 the family was deported to South Carolina aboard the Dolphin a Sloop, which sailed from Chignectou on 13 October 1755; William Hancock, Master, She arrived in Charleston, South Carolina on on 17 November 1755, with her parents and a sibling. 28 Men, 27 Women, 66 children. 121 persons total on ship . [4][1]. . Some family members escaped deportation and fled to Isle Saint-Jean. [3][5]

I rejected the unmerged match with Caissie-113. They are different women with different parents and spouses. Her birth date is probably more closely 1711 in Beaubassin. Her parents are: Father: Michel CAISSIE c: Jul 1684 in Beaubassin, Acadia

Mother: Madeleine GAUDET b: Abt 1682 in Port Royal, Acadia
