Re: WikiTree contributors, "Ann (Padfield) Langley (bef.1779-1852)," WikiTree: The Free Family Tree, (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Padfield-266 : accessed 07 March 2024).
Thanks for adding the above.
I have been gradually adding ancestors from my GEDcom, one of whom is Ann Padfield. In my tree I have Joseph and Elizabeth Padfield as Ann's parents, and I see in Wikitree you have indicated the baptism but not added the parents of Samuel and Mary Padfield.
I have had two DNA matches which seem to support the Joseph/Elizabeth match, but can equally see an argument for the Samuel/Mary match.
I have posted some comments in Research Notes.
Could you please let me have your thoughts?
Thanks Alex

Thanks for this. I am quite happy pottering around Somerset for the moment. I am currently adding/updating profiles of the men who died in WW1 and are listed on the Wedmore War Memorial. Also, I would still like to add Somerset to the Mining Disasters Category and do some work in that area.
Your war memorial work sounds very interesting. When you are ready to start work on the Somerset mining disasters, let me know, and we can get the set up for you. Thank you for all you do on WikiTree

Yes, please post message regarding England in the England project; I am not from the UK.
If the image is on the Wikimedia Commons website, it has to have an open use license and you can use it for sure. An overview of options is given on this page: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Licensing
You should then add a comment that the image falls under that license, and as always where you got it from. I usually do that shortly by pasting the full image URL into the source box. If more information is available at the webpage for the image, it is worthwhile pasting that as well. It never hurts to be complete. Wikitree has no nice option to place a license text at the image, but it is expected not to breach any license.
Hope this helps a bit,
Michel
Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!
