Biography

George was born about 1855. He is a son of Peter Calder and Margaret Miller. In 1861 he was one of seven children living with her parents in Craigston [1]. In 1871 he is a "Labourer" boarding at 48 Shore Leith South Midlothian [2].

Probably[3]: In 1881, 1891 and 1901 George was "farm servant" at Sibster Farm (near Wick) with his wife Elizabeth née ?Sinclair? and children Annie Sinclair b1878, Elizabeth b1881, Maggie b1883, George b1884, Jessie S. b1890. [4] [5] [6].
