Biography

Robert was born in 1892. He is the son of Alexander Calder and Jane Thomson. Tragically, Robert was only 12 years old when he and his brother drowned at Motunau, Hurunui, North Canterbury. His brother, Alexander was 28 years old at the time. They were buried together in the same plot as their sister, Annie who had died 8 years earlier. They were buried at the Hope Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Halkett, Canterbury, New Zealand.
