Biography
Agnes Caldwell, daughter of William Caldwell, married Thomas Aitchison on 5 January 1843 at Liberton, Midlothian. [1]
Prior to her marriage, she was working as a servant at Liberton, Midlothian. In 1841, she was aged 16 and born out of the county. [2]
In 1851, she was a widow, living with her mother Agnes Caldwell, a midwife and also a widow, and her children Isabella, aged 7, born in Edinburgh, William, aged 6 and Margaret. aged 4. Both William and Margaret were born in Old Monkland, Lanarkshire[3]

Research Notes
Agnes Caldwell was married to a Thomas Aitchison and had the children listed however I am no longer convinced that the Thomas she married was "my" Thomas. FURTHER RESEARCH is needed here!!
