In 1851 (at the time the census was taken) , Janet (now a 26 year old Farm labourer's wife) was visiting dairyman Gavin Campbell and his wife Elizabeth at Lochlyack in Carmichael. Janet had her 4 month old son John with her. [2]
She died on the 17th November 1861 at Lower Mains, Skirling, Biggar Lanarkshire.
