Biography

Benjamin Caldwell was the son of Benjamin and Lucy Caldwell. ^[1] He graduated from Shortridge High School in Indianapolis. ^[2]

In 1920, he married Vivian Fleming. ^[3] He is listed as "widowed" in the 1940 census, but Vivian did not die until 1979. ^[4]

He served in both World Wars and had been an officer in the Corps of Engineers. ^[2]

He was an instructor at John Herron Art Institute for five years. ^[2]

Benjamin was survived by his wife, Betty, and three sisters and a brother. ^[2]

He died in 1952. ^[2]
