Biography

Benjamin Caldwell was the son of Benjamin and Lucy Caldwell. [1] He graduated from Shortridge High School in Indianapolis. [2]

In 1920, he married Vivian Fleming. [3] He is listed as "widowed" in the 1940 census, but Vivian did not die until 1979. [4]

He served in both World Wars and had been an officer in the Corps of Engineers. [2]

He was an instructor at John Herron Art Institute for five years. [2]

Benjamin was survived by his wife, Betty, and three sisters and a brother. [2]

He died in 1952. [2]
