Biography

John was born on 12 August 1854 ^[1] & Baptised John Call, 17 September 1854, Bradford, St. Peter, (Bradford Cathedral), Yorkshire the son of William Call (blacksmith) & Mabeth of Horton. Date of birth recorded in entry image. ^[2]

With sister, Fanny & parents William Call & Maboth living in Dyson Street, Bradford, Yorkshire in 1871. He worked as a mechanic. ^[3]

The marriage solemnized by Banns between John Call (mechanic) & Jane Eliza/Elizabeth Ridsdale (weaver) was conducted on 21 November 1875, Shipley, St. Paul, Yorkshire. ^{[4] [5]}

Living in Carlisle, Cumberland in 1891 with wife Jane & children. He worked as a Bath's Superintendent. ^[6]

In 1901 John was living in James Street, (Public baths), Carlisle, Cumberland with wife Jane & son. He was employed as the bath's superintendent. ^[7]
