Daughter of Ned Hunter Callaway and Eulah May Kirk.

Margaret L. Calloway/Callaway is documented in the 1920 and 1930 Censuses.

1920 Census: Ned Callaway age 29 b Oregon; Eula Callaway wife age 27 b Oregon; Margaret Callaway daughter age 4 b Oregon; Gordon Callaway son age 1 b Oregon.^[1]

1930 Census: Eulah M. Callaway head age 37, divorced, b. Oregon; Margaret L. Callaway daughter age 17 b Oregon.^[2]

Margaret Louise Calloway married William Arthur Higgins b 1916 and had two children. ^[3]

1940 Census: William A. Higgins age 24 b Washington; Margaret Higgins wife age 25 b Oregon. Resided 1 Jan 1935 in Portland, Oregon. William was a dentist and Margaret was a nurse. ^[4]

Daughter Martha Louise Higgins died at the age of 2 days. ^[5]

Research Notes

In a letter from Jean Weber Arnold to Margaret Summitt, 9 Feb 2001, she mentions a "Constance Kirk" as the daughter of Eulah May Kirk Calloway. I find no evidence that Eulah had a daughter named Constance. According to Jean, Eulah's daughter had two children.

Washington Death Index has a death date of 27 Dec 2007 in King County. ^[6] This conflicts with the Social Security Death Index which has a death date of 4 Aug 2003 in Tucson, Arizona. This is the same death date and place as her husband.^[7]
