My grandmother, Bennie Callis, was an avid researcher of her genealogy, which eventually got me hooked after going through the books and documents she had. I slowly took home book by book to add to my collection while I was compiling what she had gathered and also starting my own research to try and find what she had not.

Not many young people take an interest in their genealogy, and all of my older distant relatives that I get in touch which are always so thrilled to hear of a younger generation taking up the family history. It is so interesting to me to know about people who lived in the past.

While I have been doing this for a few years now I still consider myself a lower intermediate when it come to genealogy research because there is still so much to learn!

From my mother's side (Italian) - I added the first Gamalero's to WikiTree and it is very hard to do research because there is only a small amount of information available on the internet.
My husband's family is from Latin America.

gotta clear them out
I currently am running two name studies; Callis and Gamalero.
Keeping an eye on those earlier profiles

Hi, Sarah.

I've not delved into it, but I think your Pennsylvania Clauser ancestors and my ancestor Maria (Klauser) Miller are from the same Palatine immigrant family.

Thanks for leading the Southern Sourcerers this year, Sarah. Sorry I had to miss most of today. We accomplished my personal goal for the team of busting 1k.

LOL - First Hang-out I missed and it was my draw! That's pretty funny. Thanks for the heads-up though.

I'm very new to WikiTree and am just starting to get the hang of it. I figured the Source-a-thon would help me learn - and that it is. Thank-you
