Sarah was featured in a Meet Our Members Post on the WikiTree Blog!

My grandmother, Bennie Callis, was an avid researcher of her genealogy, which eventually got me hooked after going through the books and documents she had. I slowly took home book by book to add to my collection while I was compiling what she had gathered and also starting my own research to try and find what she had not.

Sarah (Callis) Rojas participated with Southern Sourcerers during the 2018 Source-a-Thon, adding many sources to profiles.

Not many young people take an interest in their genealogy, and all of my older distant relatives that I get in touch which are always so thrilled to hear of a younger generation taking up the family history. It is so interesting to me to know about people who lived in the past.

While I have been doing this for a few years now I still consider myself a lower intermediate when it come to genealogy research because there is still so much to learn!

Hi Sarah:

Re your question about Rawn/Rahn, our Canadian branches have used Rawn pretty consistently since leaving Herkimer County, NY c1802 for Markham Tp Ontario. Earliest I have confirmed to date is Johann Nicholas who is recorded as Rein/Rann, born Strasbourg c1740.

Hey there. Thanks for the advice. I was in hurry when posting these. I will go back and source them. I’m used to using a different site and still trying to get this one 100 percent. I will also edit birth and death locations.

Hey Sarah,

Did you ever figure out where I can read about it to figure out what we are supposed to do? I interested but uninformed and I just get lost in the G2 feed.

Sarah I can't thank you enough for being such a great team leader during the 2018 Source-a-Thon. There were times when your guidance lifted me out of frustration and confusion & got me back on track. You were generous with your time, including in the middle of the night! I hope you lead a team next year because I want to be on it. Thanks again Sarah. I feel like I made a friend. If I can ever help you please just let me know.
