Cyril Callister was born in the Colony of Victoria (1851-1900)

Cyril Percy Callister was born at Waterloo in the Pyrenees shire of the Colony of Victoria in 1893, the son of William Hugh Callister and Rosetta Ann Dixon.[1][2]

After World War 1, in 1919, in Scotland, he married Katherine Hope Mundell, born Annan, Dumfriesshire, Scotland, the daughter of James Mundell and Alice Hope,[3] and returned to Australia.

They had three children:

  1. Jean
  2. Ian
  3. Bill

Cyril was employed by Fred Walker to develop a yeast extract and produce processed cheese.

Cyril Callister passed away, aged fifty-six years, at Kew in Melbourne, Victoria on the 5th of November 1949, and was buried at Box Hill Cemetery.[4]

Katherine Callister passed away in 1955.[5]
