Biography

Anthony Calthorpe was born in Norfolk, England.

Anthony was born in Antingham, Norfolk in about 1517. He was the son of Richard Calthorpe and Anne Hastings.

In 1545 Anthony was made a new freeman of the Company of Mercers. ^[1]

In about 1549 Anthony married Joan Harris. The exact date and place of this marriage is unknown but their eldest child Clement was baptised in 1550. Anthony and Joan had at least 15 children during their long marriage:
