Biography
Nina Belle Calton was born November 11, 1880 in Wright county, Missouri to Noah Ephram Calton, Sr. and Zilpha Caffey Calton. She was the youngest of eight children. Her brothers and sisters were: Thomas Morgan Calton, Joel Edward Calton, James Anderson Calton, George Washington Calton, Sarah Louise Calton, Noah Ephram Calton, Jr., and Dick Calton.
Nina Belle Calton married George Washington Deckard, Jr., on December 11, 1898. She was 18 years old.
Nina Belle Calton and George Washington Deckard, Jr. had six children. Their first daughter, Lucy Mae Deckard was born on May 16, 1900 in Wright County,Missouri. She passed away on April 15, 1923 in Wright County, Missouri. Their second child was a daughter, Bessie Clarice Deckard. After that they had a son, Elmer Claude Deckard, a daughter, Edith Louisa Deckard, another son, Alfred Eugene Deckard. Alfred Eugene Deckard married Mary Louise Himes. He also married a second time to Pauline Nannie and a third time to Martha Ryan. The sixth child of Nina Belle Deckard and Geroge Washington Deckard, Jr. was Wilma Cinderella Deckard.
The Calton family book lists 6 children for Nina Belle Calton Deckard and George Deckard: Lucy, Bessie, Elmer, Louisa, Alfred and Wilma.
Nina Belle Calton Deckard passed away on October 1, 1943 in Wright County, Missouri.
