Anne Calvert, one of five daughters born to Sir George Calvert and his wife Anne Mynne, married William Peasley.[1][2]
Estimated Birth Year
Anne Calvert was born after her parents married November 22, 1604.[3]
George and Anne Mynne Calvert had six sons and five daughters. Richardson, probably following a will, lists Anne first of the five daughters. The first two sons were born 1605 and 1606, and the fourth daughter in 1611, which suggests that a birth year of 1607 would be a reasonable estimated birth year for Anne. Estimated birth years are speculative and useful primarily for placing a person in the correct time period.
Marriage
Richardson refers to Anne as "wife of William Peasley."[2]
Some credible researchers [4] show Anne as a child not of George Calvert's first marriage to Anne Mynne, but to his second marriage, as a full sister to Philip, born in 1626, and therefore herself born in 1627.
Marshall's site shows further this Anne possibly married not to William Peasley, but -- unproven -- to William Gittings of Surry, England, and died there after 1679. [4]
Magna Carta Project
Magna Carta trail
In November 2015, this profile was added to the Magna Carta Project's list of "Gateway Ancestors". While she is shown by Richardson as a daughter of George Calvert and his wife Anne Mynne,[1] Richardson does not document her further, nor list her as a Gateway. In light of the questions raised by other researcher (see Research Notes, above), she was removed from the project's list of Gateways in April 2019. ~ Noland-165 00:53, 17 April 2019 (UTC)

Jack - thank you for your research into this. Anne is, actually, NOT listed by Richardson as a Gateway Ancestor. In light of the additional information, she has been removed from the project's "Gateway Ancestors" category. Thanks for your research into her!
I added a Research Note which further complicates Anne's bio, since Mike Marshall's sources suggest she may have married Gittings, a Maryland ancestor. This is speculative, but Marshall also suggests she was a full sister of Philip in Calvert's second marriage, which would remove her as a Magna Carta descendant and further complicate the dating issues already identified!
It would be good to get Richardson's notes regarding her connection with William Peasley!
Yes, the parents listed here for Rev. Joseph Peasley/Peaslee are incorrect. Research by Graham Peaslee shows that the Joseph Peasley family were sadlers from Chipping-Sodbury, Gloucestershire. See: http://www.genealogy.com/forum/surnames/topics/peaslee/172/ The Ann Calvert Peasley listed here as his mother was a strong Catholic, unlikely to be closely related to the protestant Joseph Peasley (who was fined for preaching without a license in Boston). They may have been cousins and related to the branch of the Peasley family who settled in the Virginia colonies as early as 1629.
The correct parents are Robert Peaslee born about 1575 probably in Gloucestershire; died MAY 1617, Chipping-Sodbury, England (England & Wales, Prerogative Court of Canterbury Wills, 1384-1858). Mother is his spouse Jane (last name unknown) born about 1580 in Gloucestershire, died MAY 1619 in Chipping-Sodbury. (England & Wales, Prerogative Court of Canterbury Wills, 1384-1858)
The correction of the parents would solve the impossible birth dates shown in this profile.
Hi PM's, There's a DB Error [305 Mother not born] coming up on this profile, as it shows she was born in 1607 or 1604, yet son Joseph was born in 1600. Perhaps some sources can be found for her birth and her supposed son?
In a review of the changes made and the addition of the US Southern Colonies Project template, it looks like an honest mistake was made in adding the template.
We may have had some mis-merges, since this profile says that it is included in the US Southern Colonies Project and it appears that Anne Calvert Peasley spent her life in England and Massachusetts Bay Colony, as did her husband.
It would be good to get Richardson's notes regarding her connection with William Peasley!
