Biography

Mabel Louisa Cambridge was born on 4 Sep 1898 in Limehouse, London, England to David Cambridge and Sarah Ann (Worth) Cambridge. Her birth was registered in Stepney, London in the last quarter of the year, with mother's maiden name Worth.^[1]

In 1901 Mable Cambridge (age 2) lived at 13 Blount Street in Limehouse with her father David (35, Handyman), mother Sarah (33), and two boarders: William Worth (24, Ropemaker) and Alfred Worth (26, Ropemaker).^[2]

Mabel's father David Cambridge passed away in 1908.

In 1911 Mabel Cambridge (age 12, Scholar) lived at The Female Orphan Home at Hanworth Road in Hampton, Surrey.^[3] Most of Mabel's family lived in Limehouse: widowed mother Mrs Cambridge (43, Office Cleaner), brother David (4), uncle Alfred Worth (34), and a boarder.
