Biography

Henrietta was born in 1780. She was the daughter of Henry Cambron and Margaret Harbin. She passed away in 1852. She married John Yates about 11 Nov. 1798 in Washington, County, Kentucky.[1][2]

She Henrietta died in May 1856 at Washington County, Kentucky and was buried on 27 May 1856 at Saint Rose Cemetery, Springfield, Washington County, Kentucky. Her memorial has biographical material and links to those of family members.[3]

John Yates and Henrietta Cambron Marriage Bond: Washington County, KentuckyKnow all men by these presents that we, John Yates and Henry Cambron, are held and firmly bound unto his Excellency, the Governor of Kentucky, in the sum of fifty pounds current money, to the payment of which well and truly to be made to the said Governor and his successors. We bind ourselves, our heirs, and jointly and severally, firmly, by these presents, sealed with our seals and dated this 6th day of November 1798. The condition of the above obligation is such that whereas there is a marriage shortly intended to be solemnized between the above bound John Yates and Henrietta Cambron, for which a license has issued. Now, if there be no lawful cause to obstruct the said marriage, then this obligation to be void, else to remain in full force.

"Henrietta Cambron married John Yates, 17xx-1816, bond, Nov. 11, 1798, Washington County, KY, Surety: Henry Cambron. Rev. Fr. James Michael Christopher Fournier performed the ceremony. See Washington County, KY Marriage Book, I, Page 21, #5 and I, page 29, #11.

They were the parents of Edward Yates, 18xx-xxxx; Francis Yates, 1806-1880, Margaret (Yates) Austin, 18xx-xxxx; Mary (Yates) Montgomery, 18xx-xxx; Terea "Treacy" (Yates) Kidwell, 1804-1844; Henry Yates, 18xx-xxxx, William C. Yates, xxxx-xxx; and John Yates, Jr. 1815-1852.

Her burial entry on page 783 of St. Rose Parish Register III calls her surname Yeats, says she was 75 years old and was Buried May 27, 1856."
