Biography

THURMAN — Hazel M. Mosher, 79, of Bowen Hill Road, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, at her home after a long illness. Born April 12,1910, in Thurman, she was the daughter of John D. and Henrietta (Mosher) Cameron. She married George Mosher June 30, 1940. The couple lived in Thurman all their married lives. Mrs. Mosher was employed for many years at Duffy's Motel in Lake George and the Warrensburg Shirt Factory. She was a longtime member of the Thurman Baptist Church. Survivors besides her husband include one son, Gilbert L. Winslow of Thurman; one brother, Duncan Cameron of Glens Falls; one sister, Mrs. Lewis (Edith) Griffin of Warrensburg; two grandsons and four granddaughters; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Five brothers, William Cameron, Leon Cameron, Dewy Cameron, Arnold Cameron and Beecher Cameron, and five sisters, Alice Parker, Stella Cameron, Marjorie Reedpath, Ida Maxam and Lisa Cleveland all died before her. Services were conducted at the Alexander-Baker Funeral Home, 114 Main St., Warrensburg, with the Rev. Robert Herman, pastor of the Thurman Baptist Church, officiating. Spring burial will be in Reynolds Cemetery, Thurman. Bearers were: Robert Mosher, Greg Tessmann, Dan Ackley Jr., Dan Ackley Sr., Maurice DeMars and Paul Mosher. Memorial contributions may be made to the Thurman Emergency Squad. [1]
