Hi George,

Your ancestor's profile came up as needing updating, so I went in to tidy things up and I saw that you had hit a roadblock. That can be frustrating. I saw Janet White's profile, and her birthdate was a good 30 years before Alexander's. Then she married another Alexander Cameron was when your Alexander was about eight, so it seems that she can't have been married to your Alexander (the younger). You might want to edit her out as his wife.

You did have some sources indicating that he had lived in Perthshire, Scotland, but the records didn't give any information at all - no webpages, birth or death records, books, etc., so I removed them from the active profile. They are still there under the "Changes" category.

I did find a FindAGrave profile that looked promising, but I didn't want to arbitrarily start adding material to your profile. If you think it is he, you can add it as a source and remove the

label from the top of his profile.

"Find A Grave Index," database, FamilySearch (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QVLW-SRCF : 13 December 2015), Alexander Cameron, 1858; Burial, Dundee, , Dundee City, Scotland, Howff Cemetery; citing record ID 88874486, Find a Grave. https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/88874486. Accessed 3 May 2020.

Alternatively, could he have died in Canada? His father emigrated, maybe Alexander did, too? There were a couple of Alexander Camerons of the right age who died in Canada and the United States.

What do your records say? If you're truly stuck, I'd suggest posting a question in the G2G Forum. Those people are amazing and very helpful. Here's that link, too: https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/.

Respectfully,

Claire ~ Data Doctor
