The Late Rev. Archibald Cameron, SENIOR MINISTER OF THE GLEN INNES PRESBYTERIAN CHARGE. He was born at Crieff, in the county of Perth, Scotland, and was ordained by tho' Freo Church of Scotland in 1853, coming out to New South Wales the same year. He commenced his labours in this State in. the New England district in 1854, the Presbyterian charge of which he was minister in those days embracing from Glen Innes to Tenterfield, and including Inverell, Emmaville, Wellingrove, and other places, then still in their infancy.
While attending the General Assembly in Sydney, he used to ride 300 miles to Maitland, and "thence take ship" to tho metropolis.[1]
