Ollera, March 24.
Obituary.—Much sympathy is felt for the widow and family of the late Mr. John Cameron, who died at Terrible Vale on Sunday last. The deceased had been ailing for a long time, and, although his death was not expected by some, the news that he had passed away came with a sudden shock to most.
Mr. Cameron was in the employ of Messrs. Everett for many years, in fact, he spent the greater part of his life on Ollera. As a servant he was always an honest, straightforward fellow, always ready and willing. In his younger days the deceased was a fearless rider, and many a long and rough ride after " brumbies" in the New Valley ranges has he had. In sports Mr. Cameron was always to the fore, and in the cricket field many a battle has he fought, and earned the name of the old veteran."
The deceased will be remembered by many who have suffered sickness in these parts. Many a night has he sat up with a sick friend, and a kinderhearted fellow never lived than Mr. John Cameron.[1]
