Allan was born about 1839 in Upper Canada. [1][2] He farmed with his family until he was on his own in 1881. [3][4][5][6]
He died in 1885 and was buried in Maxville Cemetery in Maxville, Ontario. His wife, Mary Cameron was remembered on the gravestone. [7]
