John was born in 1843. He was the son of William Cameron and Elizabeth Redfern.[1] He passed away in 1908.[2]
John was the founder and president of the London Advertiser Printing Company in London, Ontario. After George Brown's death, he was editor of the Toronto Globe newspaper for seven years. He served a term as president of the Canadian Press Association and was the author of A Canadian in Europe.[3]
