Calogero Cammarata is born 3 May 1806 and baptized the next day in Corleone. He is the son of Salvatore Cammarata and Carmela Ligotino. Although he is their first born child, he is named after neither of his grandfathers. Calogero's godparents are Bernardo and Calogera Catanzaro, brother and sister.[1]
Calogero marries Lucia Gagliano, daughter of the late Leoluca Gagliano and the living Pasqua Scimonetto, on 16 September 1839. Salvatore has died by this time, and Carmela is living.[2]
Calogero dies, reportedly at age 46 (he is 38) on 22 August 1844. Calogero is survived by his wife, Lucia. His parents have both died by this time.[3]
