The 'Father of American football' is my ninth cousin, six times removed, within our own Camp/Kemp family lineage.

Camp, along with a few others, defined and differentiated the game and its rules from the other comparable sports; English 'rugby,' from which it originated, and 'association football,' now known worldwide as 'soccer/football.'

Every true fan should check out his profile on wikipedia.org for the extensive and remarkable details.
