Biography
Sophia was born in 1794. She was baptised in Salehurst, Sussex on 9 November 1794 the daughter of John and Lucy Campany.[1]
Sophia Campany aged 19 married Samuel Russell 23 years old, on 17 August 1813 in Salehurst, Sussex. [2] Sophia's father John gave his consent and witnessed the marriage.
Samuel and Sophia had at least 10 children, possibly 12..
Sophia died on 1 February 1881.
She is buried with her husband in Etchingham churchyard, the grave inscription is in her husbands biography.
Sophia's estate was subject to probate which was greanted to son Ephriam on 2 April 1881 in Lewes court.[3]
