Biography
Birth
July, 1877: Eliza Jane Campbell was born in Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand. She is the daughter of John Campbell and Jane Gurner. [1]
1903: Eliza was 26 years old when her father purchased a block of land in Section 9, Block 1, Ngatimaru Survey District 445 acres, Purangi, Taranaki, New Zealand.
1904: Most of the family moved to Purangi, Taranaki. But Eliza was not with them? We know that she eventually moved there to her family but not when? Nor why she stayed behind.
1935: Eliza, 58 yrs old, is living in her parents home in Purangi, recorded as a Spinster. [2]
1938: Eliza, 61 yrs old, was still living in her parents home in Purangi, she is recorded as a Spinster. [3]
Research
There are 2 Eliza Jane Campbell deaths recorded in NZ 1946 and 1949. Cannot find a Cemetery record anywhere yet. 1 in Wellington not her, because Widow. In the Taranaki Herald - Eliza Campbell bought a property in Ngire.
