Biography
John (Campbell) Campbell IVth of Lochnell was killed in Action during Wars of the Three Kingdoms at the Battle of Inverlochy.
John was the son of Alexander Campbell, 3rd (laird) of Lochnell and Isabel MacDougall[1] and the 4th of Lochnell.[2]
His wife was Anne Campbell, daughter of Sir Dugald Campbell, 1st Baronet of Auchinbreck and Isabel Boyd.[3]
Among their children were:
- Colin Campbell, 5th of Lochnell
- Donald Campbell of Ardintallen (possible other maternity)
- Margaret Campbell: : Donald, the fifth Invernahyle, was married to Margaret Campbell, daughter to the Laird of Lochness, and had issue fours sons and two daughters... [4]
