Mr. and Mrs. John J. Campbell of the Ridge Road celebrated 61 years of married life Monday May 6.
Mr. Campbell who will be 92 years young on July 4, was married by the late Rev. T.R. Easterday in the Presbyterian Church. He and his wife, will will be 87 on Mothers' Day (May 12) have lived in the Sault and Soo Township area since their marriage.
Mr. and Mrs. Campbell were the parents of one son, Truman, who makes his home near his father on the Ridge Road. He is employed at the Sault Locks. Truman and his wife in turn are the parents of two children, Donald and Mary, both of who are married. Donald is the father of three children.
A few friends of the family visited with Mr and Mrs Campbell last Sunday in honor of their wedding anniversary.
